Earlier this month, eagle-eyed members of our Reader Forum noticed that there were a fair number of changes to text in IRONMAN's rulebook for 2024. It led to a fierce discussion -- namely, would these changes mean no more aero gains?

To get to the bottom of it, we invited IRONMAN's long-time chief official turned head of Special Projects Jimmy Riccitello to set us straight. We talked through how the rulebook came into existence, the relationship between IM and World Triathlon on rules, and a break down on the 2024 language. (Those hoping to create their own 3D printed parts may want to listen in.)
